Classical soprano, Ashia Barnes is an alumni of the prestigious Manhattan School of Music where she earned her degree of bachelor of music in classical voiceunder the tutelage of renowned mezzo soprano Mignon Dunn. Her most recent performances include “The Queen of The Night” in Manhattan School of Music’s production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, and “Donna Anna” in Manhattan School of Music’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni.In the past, she was accepted into many wonderful summer music programs such as the Berlin Opera Academy, Miami music festival, and nowmaking her official young artist debut as Donna Anna in Camerata Bardi’s Don Giovanni.Ashia has also competed in competitions such as the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition at the district level. When she is not on the stage, Ashia is pursing her other passion of teaching today’s youth about the wonders of singing and performing. While doing so, shealways keeps her pledge to help a singer find "their special voice.” She strives to share her voice with the worldto inspire other young musicians to do the same.
