Christiaan Frederik Postuma (tenor, 25) is raised with classical music. In 2020 he finished his Bachelor classical solo voice and Early music minor with Gerda van Zelm at the Royal Conservartoire in The Hague. Now he studies pre master in The Hague, to focus more on opera with voice teachers Catrin Wyn-Davies and Noa Frenkel.
After a ‘joint conservatoire project’ between the Julliard Conservatory (N.Y.) and Kon.Con.
Chris sings as a standard member of the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir conducted by Bach specialist and conductor Ton Koopman. With this choir he performed numerous works by J.S. Bach at different stages in Europe and Japan. In concertprojects within and outside the Royal Conservatoire Chris worked together with conductors and choirmasters like: Peter Dijkstra, Ton Koopman, Mike Fentross and Micheal Chance. In December 2018 Chris participated in a conservatoire project in a concertante Opera with the orchestra Leiden ‘Sinfonietta’, as Tamino in W.A. Mozarts ‘Die Zauberflöte’. In june 2019 he particitpated in the Nederlands Kamerkoor conducted by Jeffrey Skidmore in the opera ‘Aus Licht’ from
K. H. Stockhousen. In July 2020 he met Capucine Chioudani during the Opera summer Accademy Henfenfeld (Germany) for opera repertoire coaching. His interest in opera began in the ‘Arena di Verona’ as a little boy in the audience.
