2022-2023 was a prolific season for Colombian tenor Juan Jose Beltran as he debuted the role of Edgardo in UIUC’s production of Lucia di Lammermoor. Moreover, as a studio artist, he sang Tamino at New Jersey Vocal Arts Collaborative 2022 and Rinuccio at Varna International Academy. Past roles include Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte, Alfred in Die Fledermaus and Donald in Gallantry.
Furthermore, Mr. Beltran, as a soloist, is no stranger to symphonic repertorie. His most significant perfmormances include Beethoven’s Choral Phanatsy at Santa Catarina International Music Festival Brazil 2018 and Beethoven’s 9TH Symphony with Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mr. Beltrán earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Institución Universitaria de Bellas Artes in Colombia, and his Master of Music degree from the University of Illinois.
