Greek tenor, Nikitas Gritzalis, was born and raised in Athens. He was a scholarship recipient for his vocal studies at the Athens Music Conservatoire and Mantzaros Conservatoire and studied piano at the Filippos Nakas Conservatoire. He has participated in Masterclasses in Greece and abroad with esteemed singers such as Susan Bullock, Aris Christofelis, Richard Berkeley-Steele, Demetra Theodossiou and Dunja Vejzovic . He has sung the roles of Decimus in “Julius Caesar” (an opera by Filippos Tsalachouris at the Megaron Music Hall of Athens, Teucer in “Helen” (an opera by Anthony Karatziki) at the Parnassus Literary Society, Messaggiero in Verdi’s “Aida” and Clerry in “Maria Antoinetta” by Carrer. Nikitas also frequently collaborates with The Greek National Opera, the Music Ensembles of ERT (Greek Radio Broadcasting Corporation) as well as the Philharmonia Orchestra of Athens. He is also a graduate of the department of Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has had his own research papers on musical talent published and presented internationally in Psychology conventions.
