Shannon Delijani is an Iranian-American mezzo soprano based in Los Angeles. In addition to performing she is a filmmaker and stage director. Her repertoire ranges from early music to bel canto to musical theater. Opera roles include Idamante (Idomeneo), Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito), Ruggiero (Alcina), Ursule (Beatrice et Benedict), Dryade (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Phaedra (Hippolyte et Aricie). She has also sung partial roles as Carmen, Charlotte, Romeo, Hansel, and Agrippina. She has performed with the Trentino Festival, Mannes Festival, Pittsburgh Festival Opera, and Classic Lyric Arts France. Ms. Delijani holds a Bachelor of Music from USC's Thornton School of Music and a Master of Music from Mannes School of Music where she was the recipient of the Marian Marcus Wahl Memorial Award.
