BRYAN McCLARY is recognized for his warm and rich baritone voice. He has performed a number of operatic roles including Diego Riveras in Frida by Robert Xavier Rodriguez, Sam in Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, Le Roi in Massenet’s Cendrillon, and the Father in Hansel and Gretel for Opera Steamboat, Westminster Choir College, and the Savannah Voice Festival. Other roles include Sander from Zémire et Azor by André Ernest Modeste Grétry, The Second Armored Man from Die Zauberflöte by Mozart, and Thierry and the Jailor in Dialogue de la Carmélites by Francis Poulenc. Bryan has also made his IU Opera Theatre debut in their production of Handel’s Xerxes as Elviro. He will also be appearing as Masetto and covering the title role in Camerata Bardi's International Academy's production of Don Giovanni by Mozart. In 2020, Bryan received his Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College studying with dramatic soprano Sharon Sweet. He has also coached with baritone Sherrill Milnes. Bryan has entered Indiana University’s prestigious Jacobs School of Music for his Master of Music in Voice Performance where he is studying with bass Peter Volpe.
