Sofia Farrell, soprano, possesses a diverse repertoire encompassing opera, classical, sacred, and musical theatre. Her recent/upcoming roles include: Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Vitellia (La Clemenza di Tito), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Micaëla (Carmen). A graduate of Manhattan School of Music, Sofia studies with Joan Patenaude-Yarnell. Sofia is an active cantor in the Philadelphia Archdiocese and was selected as the solo psalmist for the 2016 Epiphany Festival at St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City. Sofia was a finalist in Opera Ebony’s 2023 Benjamin Matthews Competition, 3rd place winner in Oscar Hammerstein 2023 International Competition, and Finalist/People’s Choice Winner in the 2022 PHL LIVE Music Competition. Performing as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Sofia is delighted to return for her second season with the Camerata Bardi International Academy.
