Share with us a unique experience for you in the opera world. How did it inspire you and what did you learn from it?
A unique operatic experience for me was stepping in for Rosina for a production in Spain with three days notice. Although I had done the role before it is always an adrenaline rush and a lot of airport revising. The experience allowed to understand that I have to be always in great vocal shape and to accept how unpredictable life can be.

Do you think opera should be accessible to everyone? How do you think this could be done?
Opera is an expression of the human ability and therefore it is always accessible for those who want it. I introduced the choeur de gamins from Carmen to my community children chorus and they always ask me to allow them to sing it in a performance which proves that opera has no age or status.

Do you feel that your work as an opera singer helps you to use your creativity to serve your community? What do you enjoy the most about it?
Opera is a service to others as we cannot perform without an audience. Perfecting our performance and music skills is a service in it self. Teaching it and sharing our ability with others in our community is a way of reaching new audiences. I enjoy the sense of community and sharing music with others.
