The mission of Camerata Bardi is to promote and nourish a "modern renaissance" in the art of singing, rooted in the Italian Bel Canto tradition, by promoting the Italian language as an essential part of musical language, thus promoting the Italian culture.
Industry professionals will assist and coach individuals and groups through lectures and masterclasses with particular focus on style, diction, interpretation, technique and acting.
Selected performers will be promoted through productions in collaboration with Teatro Grattacielo, Bel Canto International Club, Harrison Friends of the Opera and other opera Institutions or Foundations.
In 2020, Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy launched its very first international competition. With 256 participants from 29 different countries , Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy awarded $6,000 in prizes to competition winners, as well as paid gigs to several of the participants.
In partnership with Teatro Grattacielo, Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy has released their first virtual production of scenes from Arrigo Boito’s Mefistofele. Celebrating the great Beniamino Gigli’s 100 years at the Met, this production was recorded in The Blue Building in New York City, and is currently streaming free through Teatro Grattacielo's website.
