Share with us a unique experience for you in the opera world. How did it inspire you and what did you learn from it?
Being part of the Camerata Bardi Academy 2023 is a huge honor for me! When I learned that I would be Carmen in the Young Artist Opera of the Teatro Grattacielo I was delighted, since for me it will be the debut of the role. I feel excited that in a few weeks I will be on the stage of the Cultural & Conference Center of Heraklion directed by Maestro Myron Michailidis with whom I have already had the pleasure of working. During this period of Opera Studio I worked in New York with the artistic director of the Teatro Grattacielo Stefanos Koroneos and they were incredible weeks for me that I will carry on with my career.

Do you think opera should be accessible to everyone? How do you think this could be done?
I come from a country, Italy, where opera is part of our basic cultural education, it is taught in schools as well as the impact that some important Italian composers, Verdi above all, have had on the unification of Italy during the Risorgimento period. In our country, opera is protected by the state and is accessible to all, theaters collaborate with schools and there are many projects to spread opera among young people.

Do you feel that your work as an opera singer helps you to use your creativity to serve your community? What do you enjoy the most about it?
Being an opera singer is a calling. I discovered this passion at 16, listening to a professional opera singer who lived in the same building as me. I hope that one day my art will inspire new generations of musicians, both in my community and in those where I will be called to sing. I think this handing down the art of opera singing is one of the most fascinating things about our world of opera. Like a craftsman, the singer must learn the technique from a master and then use it as he pleases to make music. "Finding the best possible sound", this is what my teacher taught me and this is what makes me happy.
