This year Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy have been pleased to present the first ever Giovanni Consiglio International Competition!
Even amid such exceptional times, Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy are committed to continuing their mission of supporting young singers and their discovery of the Italian opera tradition through this competition.
Over the last few months, singers from around the world have been sending in their entry videos to participate in this competition. Each participant submitted a video of themselves singing two pieces, in the Italian language, for the first round. On August 20th, auditions closed with a total of 259 singers from 29 countries, now eagerly awaiting the results!

The jury, comprised of highly renowned professional singers, conductors, teachers, and agents, will now be reviewing these videos, and deciding which eight finalists will be moving forward to the second round!
Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy are so excited that so many young singers from around the world have participated in this competition and look forward to announcing the finalists moving to the second round in September!
