Performance is both the driving force behind Camerata Bardi International Academy’s program and the culmination of its work: having completed a rigorous curriculum in language, style, and interpretation, our singers experience the rehearsal period as a training ground, preparing them both for the role at hand and the professional operatic world writ large. This combination of study and stage work, a pedagogical process and an artistic exploration, helps each singer develop confidence, versatility, and a personal artistic voice that translates naturally to the professional world.
Così fan tutte, the third of W.A. Mozart’s collaborations with his best-known librettist, Lorenzo da Ponte, is a perennial favorite of the operatic canon. In this new production, directed by Cate Pisaroni and conducted by Abdiel Vázquez, our young singers immerse themselves in the musical and dramatic idioms of traditional Italian opera while reimagining its storytelling language through a contemporary lens. The result is both a homage to Mozart’s wit and a bold re-examination of intimacy, transparency, and the human desire to design the boundaries of love, showcasing the energy, creativity, and beauty of our emerging artists.
