MEZZO SOPRANO | SOUTH KOREA
Celine Juhyung Lee is a Korean mezzo-soprano pursuing a Master of Music in Opera at the Mannes School of Music in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Opera Voice from Kyung Hee University.
Her operatic roles include Cherubino and Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro), Flora (La Traviata), Cendrillon (Cendrillon), and Mallika (Lakmé), which she performed in Chicago. She has also appeared as Vorsängerin in Busoni’s Turandot at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center.
She will make her debut as La Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica) and Zita (Gianni Schicchi) in Italy, and as La Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica) in New York City.
Her repertoire spans a wide range of operatic styles and repertoire across multiple languages and traditions.
