Soprano Shannon McAleb is a New Orleans native and Denver-based artist celebrated for her expressive storytelling, musical finesse, and sparkling upper register. She recently made her Italian debut as the title role in Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos with the Trentino Music Festival, conducted by Arthur Fagen. An active soloist, she performs regularly across the Rocky Mountain region and nationwide, and this spring was named a finalist of the Venice Opera Competition. Ms. McAleb is a versatile stage artist, equally at home in both the classical canon and modern contemporary works, and is a passionate advocate for keeping classical music relevant and accessible.
