BASS-BARITONE | CHINA
Ziliang Hao is a bass-baritone from Beijing, China, currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice and Opera at Rutgers University. He holds a Master’s degree in Voice and Opera from the Mannes School of Music at The New School and a Bachelor’s degree in Acting and Opera from the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. His recent operatic roles include Rizzuti and Funeral Brother (The Tin Angel – World Premiere), Prophet and King (Dark Sisters), Zuniga (Carmen), Figaro and Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Colline (La Bohème), Crespel, Luther, and Schlemil (The Tales of Hoffmann), and Theseus (A Midsummer Night's Dream). Ziliang is also set to perform a recital of Chinese Ancient Poetry Art Songs at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall.
