Born in Gallico Marina, a village on the strait of Messina, Mr. Pizzimenti studied in Messina while working in the family business. In 1974, he moved to the US, in Westchester County (NY) and married his wife Josephine. In 1975, he started working at S.U.N.Y. and later for Reader’s Digest while starting several businesses, primarily focused on real estate development. Over the years, after leaving Reader’s Digest, which he considers his alma mater, he hired hundreds of employees in various businesses. Nowadays, he handles only real estate while his son Joseph continues the Pizzimenti tradition of business owners and developers.
Enzo’s love of singing and opera began early in his life, after listening to Beniamino Gigli’s records . At 50 years old, Enzo took his first voice lessons, first from Franco Corelli and then from tenor Giovanni Consiglio who became an inspriration and father figure.
Enzo’s mission is to support new generations of singers while promoting the Italian languare and culture as an integrated part of the musical operatic textures.
Enzo always believed in supporting and giving back by joining several organizations such as Rotary International, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Columbus Citizens Foundation and Italian Language Foundation. He is the President of Harrison Opera and Chairman of Teatro Grattacielo. In 2020 he founded Camerata Bardi International Academy and co-sponsored Camerata Bardi's very first International Voice Competition.
