Ashlyn Michele Taylor is a 25 year old mezzo-soprano from Jupiter, Florida. After graduating from the A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Ashlyn went to earn a Bachelor of Music degree at Mannes School of Music. Her recent performances include Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro with the Berlin Opera Academy in Berlin, Germany; Ottone in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea with the Saluzzo Opera Academy in Saluzzo, Italy; and covering Dritte Knabe in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with the Palm Beach Opera. Other performances include the role of Olga in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin at the Russian Opera Workshop, as the mezzo-soprano soloist of both Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass with the Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches, as the soloist in the US premiere of Carl Davis’ The Last Train to Tomorrow at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, and in the chorus with Mannes Opera. Ashlyn has also been a chorister with Palm Beach Opera for multiple seasons in productions such as Norma (2024), Tosca (2018, 2024), The Pirates of Penzance (2017), and Die Zauberflöte (2021).
