Baritone Henry Hyunsoon Kim is based in New York. In 2023, he performed the role of Escamillo in the opera Carmen and the role of Un console and Cover of Cinna in the opera La vestale in Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Young Artist. And the cover of Bonzo, Commissario and Registro in the opera Madama Butterfly in the Boston Lyric Opera. 

He has worked with Aspen Music Festival and School as well as Boston Lyric Opera, Mannes Opera, Teatro Grattacielo, Taconic Opera, and Fairfield County Chorale. 

His role credits include Onegin in Eugene Onegin, Marcello in La Boheme, Escamillo in Carmen, Bonzo, Commissario, and Registro in Madama Butterfly, David in L’amico Fritz, Lescaut in Manon Lescaut, Un Console and Cinna in La Vestale, Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte, Silvio in Pagliacci, Malatesta in Don pasquale, Barone in Il Viaggo a Reims, and Belcore and Dulcamara in L’elisir D’amore. 

He holds a Master’s Degree and a Professional Studies Diploma from Mannes School of Music with Arthur Levy.
