Praised for having “excellent diction and a truly unique voice” (Front Row Reviewers Utah), Ricardo has collaborated with companies such as Opera Philadelphia, Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theater, Opera Fort Collins, Opera Alchemy, Arizona Rose Opera Theater, among others. Past credits include Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Sancho Panza (Man of La Mancha). Ricardo currently serves as the principal tenor of the Valley Symphony Orchestra, is a member of Alium Spiritum a professional quartet based in South Texas, and frequently graces the stage as a concert soloist and recitalist. This upcoming spring, Ricardo will sing as the tenor soloist in Mendelssohn's Elijah at the TSC Performing Arts Center. Ricardo Diaz holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
