Silvana Chu is a New York City–based mezzo-soprano who performs regularly across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Recent highlights include Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle (Alto soloist) in Hong Kong, a concert tour in Romania, and Bach’s St. John Passion at St. Peter’s Church in New York City. She also premiered the Iranian-American opera The Threshold of Brightness with Beth Morrison Projects at National Sawdust. In summer 2026, she will perform
Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn and Rückert-Lieder with the
Japanese-German Philharmonic Society in Japan. She currently serves as a
professional Alto at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York Cit
