Ziliang Hao is a New York–based bass-baritone. Recent and upcoming roles include Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte); Leporello, Commendatore, and Masetto (Don Giovanni); Figaro and Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro); Prophet and King (Dark Sisters); Zuniga (Carmen); Colline (La bohème); Theseus (A Midsummer Night’s Dream); Rizzuti and Funeral Brother (The Tin Angel, world premiere); Yamadori and Bonzo (Madama Butterfly); and Crespel, Luther, and Schlemil (The Tales of Hoffmann). He presented the sold-out recital Songs Across Millennia at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. A Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at Rutgers University, he holds an MM from Mannes and a BM from Beijing’s Central Academy of Drama.
